Work on the executive summary of your plan. Consider the audience of your plan as external. They don’t know anything about your business. The executive summary in the first page in a business plan and is typically written for external funders of your business. As you are writing a plan for a side hustle your funding may be less important so consider who your executive summary should address who are the key people you want to reach? Do you need financing? Are you wanting to recruit employees? Is your executive summary meant to install confidence in your ability to run your business to your family and friends?
Your executive summary is just that, a summary where you strive to communicate your vision with the main points of your plan.It should be a succinct overview of the sections of your plan and approximately 500 words which includes the business opportunity you see and how you will be meeting the opportunity with your plan. Some background on you as the entrepreneur, and industry overview including competitors and your target customer profile and the milestones you anticipate achieving. The executive summary highlights the sections of your plan.

Invite people to see your plan. Your plan is close to completion and now is the time to invite feedback from your network. Send your plan link out for feedback from people in your network so you can incorporate feedback into your final review. Make sure your site has the ability to accept comments on one of the pages or you have a contact email on your plan.
