Human Resources Plan

The human resources plan should address the labour needs for your business. This may just be you to start but think of this as a three year outlook. When might you need to bring in an employee? What skills would this employee need? What training will they require?

In your Human Resources plan page you will write some of the considerations around the labour needs of your business. Not every section of a comprehensive Human Resources plan will be relevant to your business. Consider which sections will apply over the next three years typical sections for this will answer the questions:

  • What recruitment activities are necessary for my business to access the skills needed that I cannot or do not want to provide for myself?
  • How will I select employees or contractors to work for my business?
  • How will I retain and motivate my employees?
  • What training will I provide my employees?
  • What compensation will I provide for what type of employees?
  • What is the job description going to be for my employees?
  • How often will my employees receive a raise in their pay?

  • Implementation Plan

    Your implementation plan should lay out the actions that need to happen to get your business to the point of operating. It can be in a chart format and should consider what needs to happen, who will do it and by when. I like to use a Gantt chart style table that I make in excel and then screenshot it with some explanatory notes below the table. You can also write this in bullet point form.

    • Create your implementation plan
    • When you are complete these add the link to assignment 6 in brightspace due March 14th.
      Next week we start the financial planning of our plans which you will have two weeks to work with.
